It was a normal Halloween. Everybody was happy, going trick-or-treating until a cold breeze shook and scared them. Everybody went back to trick-or-treating, but when they ate their candy, their teeth fell out, and the same breeze picked up all their teeth. People began wondering who could do such a thing. Just then a kid named Bane heard a crunch, crunch, crunch and followed that sound into a dark corner of the street and saw little wings.
“Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm,” said a voice in the dark. It saw Bane and said, “You did not lose teeth, did you?”
“No,” said Bane. He got closer to the creature and saw who it was. “The ugly Tooth Fairy?”
“Yes. And hey, that’s not nice,” said the Tooth Fairy.
“Why are you here and why are you doing this to people?” Bane said.
“Because I want to take over Halloween and with everybody having no teeth, I will be unstoppable. Now if you please, I got a holiday to take over.” And off the Tooth Fairy flew, collecting all the teeth he could find.
“I’ve got to do something about this,” said Bane.
So he went to his house, to a magical book that could bring things to life. He looked for the section on Halloween and read a spell. “The Spirit of Halloween, young and wise. If you dare, He shall rise.” Boom! The ground shook. There was smoke, and when it went away, Bane saw dark robes and a pumpkin head. “The Spirit of Halloween!”
“Yes, my boy,” it said. “Now what’s troubling you?”
“The ugly Tooth Fairy is trying to take over Halloween, so he’s making people lose teeth. It gives him more power!”
“Is that him?” The spirit said, pointing to a guy on a rooftop.
“Yes,” Bane said.
“Well, climb on my back, and we will fly to him.”
So Bane and the Spirit flew toward the Tooth Fairy. When they landed on the roof, the Spirit put Bane down, and put an invisible button on the floor next to him. He took his scythe and charged. The tooth fairy took out his tooth sword, and they fought. A few minutes later the spirit backed up and said, “Any last words?”
“I am winning. You know that right?” the Tooth Fairy said. The Tooth Fairy took a step and heard a beep, beep, beep. “What is that?”
“Oh, that’s just a sign to steal the North Pole instead.” And with a poof! the Tooth Fairy went flying straight to the North Pole. The Spirit said a spell so everyone’s teeth grew back in an instant and after that Bane was happiest he’d been his whole life.
