If you ask our bard-in-residence Jane LeCroy how she feels about her beloved genre, poetry is a way of seeing things outside the boxes they are always being put in. During the chilly months of our Winter 2021 semester, our young poets were rejuvenated by the nature of Fort Tryon Park and emboldened by our resilient neighborhood. They explored the wilds of language out in the world (safely!) and allowed a stream of poetry to flow from the river of possibility. Below, their beautiful pieces spoken aloud.
